Last night BBC2 broadcasted an incredible behind the scenes look at the people, engineering and systems in place at the BMW MINI factory in Oxford, UK.
Ubisense systems are integrated so seamlessly throughout the plant that they are hard to spot, but in the background the precise, real-time location capabilities we deliver allow BMW Mini to eliminate waste and error proof its assembly line, where a car is built from start to finish in just over 24 hours (with one coming off the production line every 68 seconds!).
With access all areas live on the factory floor, the BBC2 team show exactly how a MINI is born. You can see episode one of this fascinating program on BBC iPlayer now, and the second part will be on air tonight.
